At Rhema University, We Mint First Class Graduates
He looked gaunt with a distant look that seemed to be pearing into the future and wondering what that future holds for him.
Nothing about him betrayed a young man who has just been adjudged by his teachers to be the best in his class.
You could walk past him, and not know that encased in his skull is the kind of brain that produces first class results.
His name is Emmanuel Testimony Chiziterem
In the first-ever induction ceremony held at the Rhema University Auditorium in which six graduates of Rhema University Nigeria Medical Laboratory Science Department were inducted into the medical laboratory science profession, Chiziterem stood out from the pack with a Grade Point Average of 4.87.
Delivering his valedictory speech, he recounted the arduous journey of hitting the first class mark stressing that it wasn't an easy road, but he is happy the hard work paid off.
Chiziterem paid glowing tributes to his parents he says that their unwavering love and support was his rock through thick and thin, as well as to his lecturers and mentors whom he said provided the guidance that helped him achieve his goals
Not forgetting his course mates, he noted that each one of them played a part in their collective success, and urged them to seek always to inspire, innovate and make positive impact on the world.
Quoting Aristotle, Chiziterem noted that "excellence is never and accident but a result of high intention, sincere effort and intelligent execution", and so, he urged his and those coming after them to go forth from this place with intention, effort and intelligence "knowing that our future is bright and our potential limitless"
The class of 2023 began their academic journey five years ago, and are lucky to witness Rhema University Nigeria earn full accreditation of its medical laboratory science programme by the National Universities Commission and the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria.
